WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) has announced that the United States Census Bureau recently released plans to open a new Area Census Office in Hidalgo County that will ensure the Rio Grande Valley is properly surveyed in 2020. The Area Census Office is scheduled to open during the summer of 2019 and will service Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties. The decision comes in response to calls from Congressman Gonzalez and local leaders for such an office.
WASHINGTON—On Wednesday, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) along with other members of the Blue Dog Coalition sent a letter to Secretary of Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, calling on the U.S. Department of the Treasury to release an analysis of the House and Senate tax bills.

WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) voted against H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which would reduce the number of individual income rates from seven to four, while raising taxes on 36 million middle class families and adding anywhere from $1.5 to $2 trillion dollars to the national deficit over the next decade.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) recently announced that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a finalized 2018 Quality Payment Program and Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), which includes a provision that modernizes the Medicare payment system to increase competition and opportunity for innovation of biosimilars. A biosimilar product is highly comparable to a biological product that provides the potential to yield the same effects at a lower cost.
