Tariff Refund Information
Important Information on International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) Tariff Refunds
On February 20, 2026, the Supreme Court ruled the Administration’s IEEPA tariffs were unconstitutional and must refund more than $166 billion in tariffs wrongfully charged to American businesses.
As of April 20, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) launched phase 1 of the tariff refund process by adding the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) within the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal.
Currently in this phase, businesses qualify for a refund if they were the Importer of Record (IOR) or the licensed custom broker who directly paid IEEPA tariffs.
