BROWNSVILLE, TX – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced $1,213,430 in funding from the U.S.  Economic Development Administration (EDA) to accelerate technology entrepreneurship in the region. This grant will directly fund StartUp Texas, a seed fund and accelerator program from the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation.

Administered  by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), LIHEAP helps low-income households pay energy bills such as heating and cooling, makes energy-related home repairs more affordable, and weatherizes homes to make them more energy efficient.

“We must ensure that Israel receives the urgent aid it needs to protect its people from further attacks. It is because of this urgency that I cannot in good conscience vote on a bill that has no chance of passing the Senate and that the President has declared he would veto.
