Congressman Gonzalez Statement on Vote to Pass House Resolution 957 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) voted in favor of House Resolution 957 which condemned the national security and public safety crisis happening along the Southern Border. Congressman Gonzalez was joined by 13 Democratic Members of Congress in support of this resolution.  

“Migrants continue to arrive in historic numbers while our U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers remain stretched thin,” said Congressman Gonzalez.“This is all at the expense of border communities, like those in the 34^th Congressional District of Texas. We need bold action and decisive leadership on this issue to bring order and dignity to our immigration system.”
