WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) has co-sponsored the Public Servants Protection and Fairness Act of 2021, legislation that will fix the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) for future retirees and provide meaningful relief to teachers, firefighters, police officers and public servants who are impacted by this provision.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Thomas Vilsack approved a Secretarial disaster area designation for drought for the following counties in the 15th District of Texas: Karnes, Live Oak primary; and contiguous, Brooks, Duval, Wilson.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that $750,000 in grant funding was awarded to the Santa Cruz and United Irrigation Districts as part of the Bureau of Reclamation's WaterSMART Water and Energy Efficiency Grants. The Santa Cruz Irrigation will receive $250,000 and the United Irrigation District will receive $500,000.
