Congressman Gonzalez is a strong supporter of Head Start, Title I, GEAR-UP, Pell Grant, and other programs that support early childhood, secondary, and post-secondary education that enable children from all backgrounds to graduate from high school prepared for college and fulfill their academic potential.

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – On Wednesday April 24, 2024, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced that Sylvia Reyna, a 10th grade student at Edinburg High School, was the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. Reyna’s winning piece, “Legacy” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
