WASHINGTON – On Thursday, March 18, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) voted to pass H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act which will provide stability, predictability and fairness to the workers who feed and clothe America. This bipartisan bill provides reforms that will overhaul the farmworker visa program, improve agricultural labor standards, and help American farmers compete in global markets.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) voted in favor of H.R. 1620, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2021 which passed the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill includes the VAWA Protections for Rural Women Act which will add the Rural Housing Voucher program to the list of covered housing programs under the Reauthorization Act spearheaded by Congressman Gonzalez.

The package will provide approximately $504,771,690.12 in federal COVID-19 relief funding to cities and counties throughout the 15th District of Texas. These funds will be used to help these communities recover from the devastation of the pandemic.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that he helped secure more than $120 million with the passage of the COVID-19 relief package The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 for Central and South Texas. The package would provide approximately $124,063,667.86 in federal COVID-19 relief funding to cities and counties throughout the 15th District of Texas.

These funds will be used to help these communities recover from the devastation of the pandemic.
