WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) joined b fellow Congressmen Adrian Smith (NE-03), Pete Stauber (MN-08), and Henry Cuellar (TX-28), to introduce legislation banning uranium imports from Russia. According to the Energy Information Administration, the United States imported 16% of its total uranium purchases from Russia in 2020.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced South and Central Texas school districts in the 15th District of Texas are projected to receive a total of $12,501,168 in Title I funding for Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22). These amounts are preliminary Title I formula allocations for Local Educational Agencies (LEA). Final allocation totals will be released by the U.S. Department of Education in June 2022.

H.R. 7108, the Suspending Normal Trade Relations with Russia and Belarus Act, counters Russia's unconscionable actions and Belarus' complicity by suspending normal trade relations with both countries.

McAllen, Texas – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced a $2.9 million National Institute on Aging grant to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's (UTRGV) School of Medicine. This award will help UTRGV's Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research complete a community outreach program to identify and research the effects of Alzheimer's in the Rio Grande Valley.
