WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Congressmen Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) introduced the Increasing Credit Union Lending for Business Growth Act. This legislation expands the lending ability of credit unions to $100,000 from $50,000. This bipartisan bill would update the Credit Union Member Business Loan authority under current federal law to keep pace with inflation and increase access to loans for small businesses.

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced $5,030,654 in federal funding from the Bureau of Reclamation for Brownsville Public Utilities Board’s (BPUB) to expand and upgrade the Authority Brackish Groundwater Treatment Facility. This funding is made available by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Congressman Gonzalez supported in 2021.

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS — Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) released a statement following President Trump’s reckless 25 percent tariffs imposed on all products from Mexico, 10 percent tariffs on Chinese products, 10 percent tariffs on Canadian energy products, and 25 percent tariffs on all other products from Canada. These tariffs will raise the prices of everyday goods for South Texans.
