BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced $5,030,654 in federal funding from the Bureau of Reclamation for Brownsville Public Utilities Board’s (BPUB) to expand and upgrade the Authority Brackish Groundwater Treatment Facility. This funding is made available by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Congressman Gonzalez supported in 2021.

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS — Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) released a statement following President Trump’s reckless 25 percent tariffs imposed on all products from Mexico, 10 percent tariffs on Chinese products, 10 percent tariffs on Canadian energy products, and 25 percent tariffs on all other products from Canada. These tariffs will raise the prices of everyday goods for South Texans.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Congressmen Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) andMike Carey (OH-14) re-introduced the Promoting Domestic Energy Production Act. This bipartisan bill would increase our country’s energy independence, drive down the price of oil and gas, and allow energy companies to consider intangible drilling costs when calculating their income for tax purposes, similar deductions many other industries utilize.

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced $3,000,000 in federal funding from the Bureau of Reclamation for Brownsville Public Utilities Board’s (BPUB) Resaca de la Guerra Resilience and Restoration Project.  

This is part of a nationwide investment aimed at increasing water reliability and advancing ecosystem health. Funding for this grant comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Congressman Gonzalez supported in 2021.
