WASHINGTON, D.C.Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced a total of $7,942,245 in grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 18 Public Housing Authorities (PHA) throughout South Texas. The grants are provided by HUD’s Capital Fund Program which provides annual funding to eligible PHA’s to support construction, renovation, or modernization of public housing their respective communities.

Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announcedthe State of Texas has been allotted $28,650,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The DWSRF is funded directly by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Congressman Gonzalez helped shepherd through the House in 2021.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced that $699,023,217 from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 will support transit upgrades and expansions throughout Texas this year. Of the total allocation, $18,288,620 of these funds are dedicated to local transit projects in Brownsville, McAllen, Harlingen, and the surrounding areas.
