Congressman Gonzalez Spends Thanksgiving with Troops from South Texas in Djibouti and Kuwait the Middle East and Africa

WASHINGTON - Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) was honored to celebrate this Thanksgiving with the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed overseas. Congressman Gonzalez traveled with a bipartisan congressional delegation to visit troops at bases in Kuwait in the Middle East and Djibouti in Africa. Last year, the congressman spent Thanksgiving with U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan.

"I can think of no better way to spend my Thanksgiving than with our troops," Congressman Gonzalez said. "As I visited these military stations I was amazed to see everyone in high spirits despite being so far from home."

"These brave troops keep our country safe, and for that I am forever grateful," Congressman Gonzales said. "In Congress, I will continue to fight for our military, veterans, and their families."

The bipartisan delegation included: Congressmen Trent Kelly (MS-01), Ron Estes (KS-04), Roger Marshall (KS-01), and Resident Commissioner Jennifer Gonzalez Colon (PR).
