Speaker Pelosi Appoints Congressman Gonzalez to U.S. – Mexico Interparliamentary Group

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appointed him to serve on the U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Group (IPG) for the 116th Congress.

The U.S.-Mexico IPG is comprised of members of the U.S. and Mexican Congresses tasked with fostering dialogue and maintaining positive bilateral relations.

"I want to thank Speaker Pelosi for appointing me to the U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Group," said Congressman Gonzalez. "As a South Texan and a federal representative of a border district, I am well aware that Mexico is not just our neighbor and partner, but also a valued and trusted friend. Our two countries have a relationship based on respect, mutual prosperity and cooperation that span centuries. I look forward to working, alongside my colleagues in the U.S. and Mexican Congresses, to identify opportunities for further collaboration and find efficient and effective solutions to address our shared challenges."
