Congressman Gonzalez Urges Speaker Pelosi to Immediately Bring the Bipartisan Senate Infrastructure Bill to a Vote on the House Floor
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15), along with eight of his House colleagues, sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi, urging her to immediately bring the bipartisan Senate infrastructure bill to a vote on the House floor.
The letter raised concerns over the contents of the reconciliation budget proposal and asked that Members of Congress be able to carefully review of the specifics of the bill prior to its adoption.
“This is one of the most consequential pieces of infrastructure legislation in almost a century,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “Americans and the 15th District of Texas have waited decades for a robust overhaul of our crumbling infrastructure. The bipartisan infrastructure package deserves a straight up or down vote without being delayed by the reconciliation process.”
In addition to Congressman Gonzalez, the letter was signed by Representatives Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05), Ed Case (HI-01), Kurt Schrader (OR-05), Jared Golden (ME-02), Filemon Vela (TX-34), Jim Costa (CA-16), Henry Cuellar (TX-28), and Susie Lee (NV-03).
