Congressman Gonzalez Statement Following Formal Impeachment Inquiry Vote

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) issued a statement following the vote on H.Res. 660 to direct the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committees on Financial Services, Foreign Affairs, Judiciary, Oversight and Reform and Ways and Means to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existingimpeachment inquiry:

"Our Constitution has never faced a greater test than what we face today," said Congressman Gonzalez. "I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and as a member of Congress I bear a solemn duty to defend our democracy. I will continue to support the impeachment inquiry until the entire truth is uncovered so we can weigh the facts of the case."
