Congressman Gonzalez Statement on Escalated Tensions in the Middle East

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) issued a statement in response to the increased tensions between Israel and Palestine:

"I am praying for peace and a resolution to the escalated tensions in the region. Violence and terrorist attacks cannot be tolerated and I condemn Hamas for the horrific rocket attacks. Israel is America's longstanding ally and has every right to defend itself. The tragic loss of life on both sides of this conflict must end and both parties must work toward an agreement that will allow the people of Israel and Palestine to live in peace, safety and prosperity."
