Congressman Gonzalez Responds to Threat of Government Shutdown

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) issued the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump's threat to shut down the government if Congress does not appropriate border wall funding in the next federal spending bill.

"Government shutdowns halt valuable government services that so many hardworking Americans, senior citizens, and veterans rely on," Congressman Gonzalez said. "No wall is worth letting our fellow Americans' health, well-being, and livelihoods hang in the balance. Enough is enough."
