Congressman Gonzalez Reaffirms Support for Israel and the Jewish Community Amidst Ongoing Conflict in Israel

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) released the following statement regarding the ongoing conflict in Israel.  

“It has been almost one week since Hamas terrorists launched a brutal and despicable attack against our ally, Israel. Since then, Israeli deaths number over 1,300, with 27 dead and 14 missing American Citizens. Innocent lives, including children, have been taken hostage and are being used as human shields. The numerous reports on the atrocities committed by Hamas are vile and abhorrent.  

The actions of Hamas will have untold consequences on the region for years to come and have resulted in thousands of innocent lives lost. These tragedies must speak to our basic humanity and compel us to denounce antisemitism in all forms. I unequivocally stand with Israel and our Jewish community and condemn this depravity.
