Congressman Gonzalez Lauds 2021 National Blue Ribbon Schools in the 15th District of Texas 

Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that four schools in the 15th District of Texas have been awarded the prestigious 2021 National Blue Ribbon Award by the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona. The schools receiving this honor are: Hidalgo Elementary School, Navarro Elementary School, South Texas Preparatory Academy, and Achieve Early College High School.

The Blue Ribbon recognition is given to educational institutions in honor of their academic excellence and progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Each year, the Department of Education bestows this award to celebrate schools' hard work and determination to provide outstanding and engaging content while also creating a safe and welcoming environment for students to learn.
