Congressman Gonzalez Encourages Students in San Antonio Area to Attend Service Academy Day

SEGUIN, Texas – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) is encouraging students in the San Antonio area who are interested in attending a U.S. Service Academy to attend the Service Academy Day at the University of Texas San Antonio Downtown Campus at the Buena Vista Theater from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Students will learn about the admissions process for the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Each year, Congressman Gonzalez has the privilege to nominate a limited number of students from the congressional district to be considered for appointment to one of the U.S. service academies. Attending a service academy comes with the honor and obligation to serve in the military upon graduation.

ROTC cadets, high schoolers and recent college graduates under the age of 22 are encouraged to attend.

The Service Academy Day at the University of Texas San Antonio Downtown Campus at the Buena Vista Theater from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT.
