Congressman Gonzalez Encourages Constituents to Apply for Jobs with FEMA Hurricane Recovery Team

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) shared information from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) about how to join its Hurricane Recovery Team. With 85 percent of FEMA's workforce dispersed to 22 disaster recovery areas nationwide, the Agency is actively looking to hire essential team members that will be sent to disaster areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Nate.

"We can all lend a helping hand to those that were impacted by these devastating natural disasters," Congressman Gonzalez said. "FEMA is looking for individuals who can dedicate their time to the stricken areas in Texas, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. I ask that the residents of Texas' 15th consider answering the call."
