CONGRESSMAN GONZALEZ CELEBRATES SIX-MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE LAW
Since its passage, $8.1 Billion in Infrastructure Investments Have Been Announced for Texas
WASHINGTON – Last month, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) celebrated the six-month anniversary of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law being signed into law. Thanks to this critical legislation $8.1 billion will be coming to the State of Texas for improvements to our roads, bridges, and waterways.
"I am encouraged to see these funds make their way to Texas and look forward to seeing them benefit and improve the everyday lives of South Texans," stated Congressman Vicente Gonzalez. "I will continue to work with local and state leaders to ensure that the needs of our region are not ignored and the benefits from this law will be felt for generations to come."
According to the latest data from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), out of the 1,398 bridges in the 15th District of Texas, almost 50% are considered "fair" or "poor". Allocations and funding opportunities for projects will be announced at a later date.
