Congressman Gonzalez Attends White House Event Commemorating Bipartisan Safer Communities Act
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) attended a White House ceremony on the South Lawn, commemorating the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, where he heard from Uvalde Pediatrician Dr. Roy Guerrero, former Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield Jr., who lost his mother in the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, NY, Vice President Kamala Harris, and President Joe Biden.
Congressman Gonzalez voted in favor of the commonsense legislation that aims to save lives, protect our children, and assure what happened in Uvalde never happens in South Texas, all while preserving Americans' Constitutional rights.
