WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration has awarded the City of McAllen, Texas, $2,006,000 in funding to improve drainage and rehabilitate existing terminals at the McAllen Miller International Airport.

"With these improvements, more businesses and travelers will continue to take off and land in the 15th District of Texas," Congressman Gonzalez said. "I look forward to seeing our airport and the surrounding communities in Hidalgo County thrive."

The award will be used to improve drainage and protect Runway 14/32 and Taxiway A pavements from deterioration. The grant will also finance the rehabilitation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the terminal building.
