Congressman Gonzalez Announces Biden Presidential Inauguration Ceremony to Be Held in Accordance with CDC Guidelines

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced to constituents that in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) guidelines and the advice of medical experts, there will be no large gatherings or public ticketing for the 59th Inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Congressman Gonzalez encourages constituents of the 15th District of Texas not to travel to Washington, D.C., and instead commemorate this event virtually.

"Safety is the top priority," said Congressman Gonzalez. "This year's ceremonies and events will be different, but it reflects President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris' commitment to address this pandemic and help our economy recover. I look forward to hearing President-elect Biden share his vision for America's future in what will a be a historic inauguration and much-needed breathe of fresh air."
