Congressman Gonzalez Announces $70,000 for Brooks County Airport Improvements

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) today announced that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has awarded a $70,000 grant to Brooks County for lighting improvements at the Brooks County Airport.

"Better quality aviation facilities means better business," Congressman Gonzalez said. "I look forward to these airport improvements representing a more streamlined flow of economic development directly to South Texas."

Congressman Gonzalez has been a steadfast advocate for opening the door for increased business, trade, and travel in South Texas. The congressman is thankful that TxDOT and FAA have their eyes on the 15th District of Texas and the economic potential it presents.
