Congressman Gonzalez Announces $1,502,405 in Community Health Center Funding for Nuestra Clinica Del Valle

April 13, 2020

MCALLEN, Texas – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced $1,502,405 for the Nuestra Clinica Del Valle as part of the funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

"This funding is a vital step in supporting health care professionals as they continue to lead us through this crisis," said Congressman Gonzalez. "I will continue to do everything within my reach to ensure that South Texans have the resources they need during this time and work with House and Senate leadership to craft legislation that assures community health centers receive funds in a prompt and seamless manner."

On March 27, the U.S. House of Representatives passed and the president signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, a $2 trillion economic stimulus bill aimed at giving small businesses, families, and workers much needed economic relief. This is the third relief package to help the American people during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Congressman Gonzalez continues to support additional funds for community health centers, rural communities and those in communities who are at risk of being disproportionately affected by the coronavirus.
