Congressman Gonzalez Announces $11.8 Million in Title I Allocations for Central and South Texas School Districts
WASHINGTON - Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) today announced $ 11,851,533 in final Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19) Title I formula allocations funds for school districts in the 15th District of Texas. The U.S. Department of Education recently released final totals in June 2019.
Title I funding provides for the expansion and development of educational programs that are fair and equal. These funds also support schools in the creation of opportunities for student success.
"Every child in 15th District of Texas deserves access to opportunities and educational resources that set them up for success," Congressman Gonzalez said. "It is imperative that schools receive adequate funding for these comprehensive educational programs so our schools can meet and exceed their educational goals and objectives in school districts across Central and South Texas."
The following allocations have been provided to school districts in the 15th District:
- Benavides ISD: $181,712
- Brooks County ISD: $1,326,932
- Falls City ISD: $50,785
- Floresville ISD: $666,710
- Freer ISD: $259,088

- Mathis ISD: $984,535
- Navarro ISD: $146,084
- New Braunfels ISD: $1,617,842

- Runge ISD: $105,261
- San Diego ISD: $ 840,112
- Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD: $ 1,121,147
- Seguin ISD: $2,032,123
- Stockdale ISD: $283,646
- Three Rivers ISD: $ 166,679
Final numbers differ from the preliminary allocations because of updates to the annually collected counts of children in locally operated institutions for neglected or delinquent children, in foster homes, and in families above the Census poverty line that receive assistance under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program (non-Census formula children data) and to Local Educational Agencies' finance data used in the Education Finance Incentive Grants formula. There may be additional differences if a State were to report revisions to its State Per-Pupil Expenditure (SPPE) data.
Congressman Gonzalez continues to be an advocate for every child in the 15th District of Texas and will work to bring additional funding to schools across Central and South Texas.
