Congressman Gonzalez Announces $1 Million for Tropical Texas Behavioral Health

Edinburg, TexasToday, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Tropical Texas Behavioral Health $1,000,000 for mental health and substance abuse services.

"Tropical Texas Behavioral Health provides life-saving services to those suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders," stated Congressman Gonzalez. "I am proud to see the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services continue to support Tropical Texas and their efforts to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care to South Texans, regardless of their ability to pay. "

"Our agency is extremely pleased to learn of this award, as it will make a big impact on our ability to provide fully integrated care to more people in need across the RGV," stated W. Terry Crocker, Chief Executive Officer of Tropical Texas Behavioral Health. "The support of Congressman Gonzalez and all our elected officials is paramount to the success of bringing more funding and services to our communities."
