Congressman Gonzalez and Southeast Texas Members to Hold Bipartisan Press Conference on Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief

WASHINGTON—Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) will join Congressman Gene Green (TX-29), and a group of bipartisan Members of Congress that represent Houston and the Gulf Region of Texas, for a press conference to call on the U.S. Senate to immediately pass the $7.85 billion emergency aid package for victims of Hurricane Harvey. The press conference will take place at 1:15 p.m. ET today at the House Triangle in the U.S. Capitol Complex.

Due to Harvey, many Texans' lives have been put on hold – families cannot return to their homes, children's schools were damaged, mothers and fathers cannot go back to work. The Texas Delegation will continue to work together to ensure schools, businesses, and families receive the help they need to get back on their feet.
