Congressman Gonzalez Votes To Pass The Historic Build Back Better Act

November 19, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, November 19, 2021, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) released the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 5376, the Build Back Better Act:

"When I ran for Congress, it was my goal to work on legislation that would positively change the lives of my community, and today, I voted to pass the Build Back Better Act for them. We have the ability to bring generational change to our nation, to lift families out of poverty, to make healthcare more accessible, to create affordable housing, to lower the cost of prescription drugs, and give working families a fair shot.

I am proud of the work my colleagues and I have done to craft a bill we can all believe in. While there are some things I would have liked to have seen added or removed, I am confident this bill will bolster our recovery and bring prosperity to our nation.

Now, it's time for the Senate to bring this legislation home for our constituents, and for the United States of America."
