Washington, D.C. — Congressman Gonzalez (TX-15) delivered $54.3 million in tax cuts to hardworking families in Central and South Texas. A new report from the Joint Economic Committee released today estimates that 97,000 Child Tax Credit monthly tax cuts were sent to families in the 15th Congressional District of Texas in October.

Statewide, 3,598,000 monthly tax cuts went to families in October for a total of $1.596 billion. The average tax cut was $444.

The Joint Economic Committee estimates the Child Tax Credit tax cuts are pumping $19.3 billion into local economies each month, supporting local jobs and businesses nationwide.

"This historic tax cut is putting more of hardworking families' own money back in their pockets so they can pay for child care, put gas in the car to get work, food on the table, cover school expenses, and spend money at our local businesses while building better lives for their families,"said Congressman Gonzalez.
