Morning Defense

The Blue Dog Coalition, a group of moderate House Democrats, has formed a Task Force on National Defense, co-chaired by Reps. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas and Brad Schneider of Illinois.

The task force, according to a statement from Gonzalez, "will proactively promote a strong national defense, improve the lives of our service members and veterans and ensure American global leadership."

Other Democrats on the panel include Reps. Henry Cuellar of Texas, Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Jim Cooper of Tennessee.
