Congressman Vicente Gonzalez Calls for the Immediate Resignation of U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Reiterates Calls for Independent Investigation into the Actions of ICE

Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) released the following statement calling for the immediate resignation of U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.   

“The tragic events of this weekend and the Secretary's continued refusal to take responsibility for the rogue and indiscriminate actions of an agency under her supervision require accountability. For this reason, I am calling for Secretary Noem to resign and reiterate my earlier calls for an independent and thorough investigation as well as an immediate end to ICE's heavy handed enforcement tactics.”
